Who knew? Avalanche’s Gabe Landeskog has a twin sister back in Sweden

ST. LOUIS — Avalanche captain Gabe Landeskog, sitting beside linemate Mikko Rantanen after Thursday’s morning skate at Scottrade Center, talked about his twin sister, Beatrice, while most reporters were talking to Rantanen about returning to the lineup after a one-game injury hiatus.

Rantanen is back on the top line with Landeskog and rookie center Alex Kerfoot, who is stepping in for the still-injured Nathan MacKinnon. Beatrice Landeskog will keep tabs on Thursday’s game against the St. Louis Blues back in Sweden, where she and her twin brother were born and raised.

Gabe was born 35 minutes before Beatrice, and the 25-year-olds are the younger siblings to Adam Landeskog, 27.
