As the NHL enters the final month of the regular season, the playoff picture remains far from clear in the Western Conference. Entering Monday’s action, just three points separate four teams in the wild card race.

And while the Dallas Stars and Minnesota Wild lead the way, knotted at 71 points each, followed by the Arizona Coyotes sitting at 69 points, it is the Colorado Avalanche who may enjoy the most favorable schedule down the stretch.
