While Avalanche’s top line hogs most of the hype, chemistry and production of second line is also imperative

Call them what you will — the “MGM Line” to some, the “Rocky Mountain Line” to others — but most simply, Colorado’s first line of Mikko Rantanen, Gabe Landeskog and Nathan MacKinnon has combined for 75 points to make for the best attack of the young NHL season.

However, also imperative to the Avalanche’s playoff aspirations is its second line. What to dub the combination of Alexander Kerfoot, Colin Wilson and Tyson Jost isn’t being polled on the NHL’s main Twitter account (as was the case for Colorado’s top trio), but coach Jared Bednar acknowledged the importance of the line’s continued complimentary play to the team’s main offensive stars.
