The 2016 Colorado Avalanche Rookie Showcase—featuring games versus the San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks—is the first iteration of an event that could become a regular occurrence for the clubs involved.
Taking place during rookie camp, the Showcase is an opportunity for participating coaches and management to evaluate players in game situations. This allows those in attendance a chance to show their level of development while competing against a foe on another squad that is doing the same.
