The Colorado Avalanche select Taylor Makar with the 220th pick in the draft

After giving Cale Makar a life-changing contract earlier in the day, the Colorado Avalanche made it a great day for the entire Makar family as they selected Cale’s younger brother Taylor in the seventh round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

A forward for the Brooks Bandits, Taylor Makar became the 220th pick in draft and the fourth player selected by Joe Sakic and the Avalanche. A 6’3” forward, the 20-year old Taylor will make the jump to the NCAA next season to play for UMass. He finished last season with five goals and 19 points in a very short 16 game season.
