It’s not Tuesday but we had a couple of signings announced today anyway. Much to my relief, Shawn St-Amant was re-signed to an AHL contract for this season and large C Jake Marchment will join the club at training camp in September.
St-Amant made his pro debut last year at age 19 after spending 3 years in the QMJHL with Val d’Or, winning a championship and the Guy Carbonneau Award for best defensive forward along the way. He scored 3G/5A in a bottom 6 role with the Rampage but really shined for the Colorado Eagles, especially in the post-season.
