DENVER — The Edmonton Oilers scored four times in the second stanza to pull away and post a 6-4 victory at the Pepsi Center on Tuesday night, handing the Avs (17-9-5) their fourth loss in six games on the heels of a six-game winning streak.
More worrisome for coach Jared Bednar, Colorado has surrendered at least six goals in three of those four defeats.
And yet the most viral moment of a viral game had nothing to do with either offense. Midway through the final period, the Avs' Matt Calvert and the Oilers' Matt Benning trudged to their respective penalty boxes after a spirited fight.
