Former Colorado Avalanche goaltender Patrick Roy, who was enshrined into the NHL Hall of Fame in 2006, has been out of the league since August 2016. For those that are not familiar with the situation, Roy resigned as head coach of the Avalanche in August 2016Roy resigned as head coach of the Avalanche in August 2016 due to not having enough power in the team.
Following his recognition, he issued this statement:
