On home ice, no NHL player is more dangerous than the Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon

Club records set by Avalanche legend Joe Sakic are rarely approached, much less smashed. But that’s exactly what Nathan MacKinnon is on pace to do as a point-producer at home.

With 10 remaining home games for the Avs, MacKinnon is on track to crush Sakic’s club record of 52 points at home, set in 2006-07. MacKinnon has an NHL-high 51 points (21 goals) at home, including a goal in an official “home” game against Ottawa in Sweden on Nov. 10.

Sakic played in all 41 home games in 2006-07. MacKinnon has played 29 home games this season.
