Final cuts were made bringing the Colorado Avalanche to their 23-man opening night roster. Forward Jayson Megna plus defensemen Kevin Connauton and Calle Rosen were the last reassignments to the Colorado Eagles.

This means that those who were on the perceived roster bubble such as forwards Vladislav Kamenev and Valeri Nichushkin as well as defensemen Ryan Graves and yes Conor Timmins made the NHL club.
