Looking to stop a three-game skid that saw them give up 17 goals in the previous three games, the Avs fought all the way to the buzzer to defeat the visiting Dallas Stars, 6-4, at the Pepsi Center on Saturday night.
It was a very Avs-esque victory, one in which the home team dominated, looked out of place, saw a two-goal cushion vanish in the third period, and still managed to find a precious win.
After what started like an off evening, Colorado’s dominant trio of Mikko Rantanen, Nathan MacKinnon and Gabriel Landeskog exploded with a vengeance.
