Colorado Avalanche superstar Nathan MacKinnon continues to rack up the milestones. On Thursday night, MacKinnon scored his 25th of the season. The tally against the Florida Panthers opened up a three-goal lead on second-place scorer Morgan Geekie of the Boston Bruins.
But most importantly, it was MacKinnon’s 392nd career tally. That goal moved him into sole possession of the Avalanche franchise record for goals. The record counts from the team’s relocation during the 1995-96 season.
Joe Sakic held the previous mark with 391. However, Sakic’s 625 career goals include the time he spent in Quebec.
