Landeskog can’t catch a break, even when Colorado Avalanche keep rolling

The Colorado Avalanche kept rolling on Thursday night, getting a 6-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres at Ball Arena. The game featured a wild first period that saw the Avs chase Buffalo starter Alex Lyon after scoring twice on their first three shots on goal.

Amid the hubbub of the crazy opening frame, Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog scored a goal late in the period, or at least everyone thought he did.

With less than a minute to go in the period, Landeskog buried a rebound to make the game 4-2. During the celebration, the officials waived the goal off.
