Jared Bednar was expected to finish out the calendar year as the winningest coach in Avs history. Now he’s got a contract that will allow him to keep adding onto that record through at least 2024.
The 49-year-old Bednar has agreed to another two-year extension through the 2023-24 season, the team announced early Friday evening. Bednar had been working toward the end of a two-year extension that had been announced in July 2019.
Bednar heads into the weekend two wins shy of tying Bob Hartley’s 193 victories for the most by any Avs bench boss.
