Jared Bednar’s list of accomplishments as head coach of the Colorado Avalanche are numerous, starting with the turnaround after the 2016-17 season and peaking with the Stanley Cup championship in 2022. In the three seasons since the Avalanche achieved the ultimate victory, the team has made the postseason all three times but won only one series out of four during that span. Regardless of the reasons for these shortcomings, the pressure is on coach Bednar’s shoulders to lead his team to a deep playoff run with the hopeful culmination of another championship to add to his resume.
