The Avalanche on Thursday have acquired goaltender Alexandar Georgiev from the Rangers in exchange for draft picks.
Colorado sent its third- and fifth-round selections in the 2022 NHL draft and a fifth-round pick in the 2023 draft for the 26-year-old netminder.
The 6-foot-1, 178-pound Georgiev had a 15-10-2 record with a .898 save percentage and 2.92 goals-against average in 33 appearances for New York last season.
