The Avalanche will get an extended look at its prospects this week at a development camp at Family Sports Center, with the players reporting and going through physicals and testing Tuesday. On-ice sessions are scheduled for Wednesday through Saturday, and the camp roster and schedule will be released Tuesday morning.
The camp will unfold against a backdrop of the Avalanche’s lack of high-profile moves in the free agency period that began Friday.
It was unsurprising in the sense that Joe Sakic told The Post’s Mike Chambers that the Avs would be more bystanders than participants. But I admit I wondered if Sakic was avoiding tipping his hand as he pondered his options.
