Former Colorado Avalanche star Nazem Kadri recently opened up about his feelings regarding his snub for Team Canada’s roster leading up to the 2026 Olympics.
A piece in The Athletic published on August 15 captured Kadri’s comments regarding the noticeable snub. 42 players were invited to Team Canada’s orientation camp in Calgary, of all places, later this month.
Kadri’s name was not among the invitees.
The former Avalanche had this to say about the situation:
“I feel like I deserve a chance. I think over the last few seasons, I’ve certainly proven that with my statistics and the winning pedigree.
