Monday morning, the American Hockey League announced that Colorado Eagles goaltender Pavel Francouz has been selected as the CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the week ending March 3, 2019.
Francouz was a perfect 4-0-0 in four starts last week, allowing just six goals and making 139 saves 145 shots - a .959 save percentage. His play helped the Eagles move into a playoff position in the Pacific Division standings.
He stopped 66 of the 69 shots he faced in back-to-back wins against the San Antonio Rampage mid-week and then was even better making 73 saves during a weekend sweep of the Tucson Roadrunners.
