Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon has been named to the 2017 NHL All Star team. It’s not too big of a surprise — he leads the team in points with 27, and he’s behind only Matt Duchene in goals with 10 to Matt’s 13.
This is MacKinnon’s first appearance at the All Star weekend, which takes place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The All Star Skills Competition happens on Saturday, January 28, at 5:00 pm MST, while the game happens on Sunday, January 29, at 1:30 pm MST.
