First off, it is about time the National Hockey League has a female pro scout, sadly not for the Colorado Avalanche. Secondly congratulations to Cammi Granato who is the one that broke the barrier and is honored with this title.
Currently the Colorado Avalanche has the same scouting staff as every team within the National Hockey League franchise. All made up of a team of males. The Colorado Avalanche has a 10-man team for pro scouting.
I think it will be refreshing to have a female’s perspective for NHL scouting. However, we can’t let ourselves get too caught up in politics with gender.
