The CHL’s Opening Week began with, well, a bang, especially in games where Colorado Avalanche prospects were involved. It was a fairly quiet couple of weeks for the Avs prospects in the KHL, and the NCAA doesn’t kick things off until the beginning of October.
If there was news about any of Colorado’s projects in the NCAA, I included it, but there wasn’t much to include for them. However, the Avalanche’s CHL prospects more than made up for it with their performances over the weekend.

Byram is still at Avalanche training camp and we probably won’t see him back in Vancouver until at least the start of the NHL regular season.
