People may forget that the Avalanche only won 38 games. They won less than 50% of their games. The only reason they made the playoffs is that 14 of those 44 losses were in overtime which garnered them an extra 14 points. The Avalanche will win more than 38 games, and I’m very certain it will be closer to 50 than 40.
