All eyes are on the Colorado Avalanche. With the Avalanche currently fighting for top of the central division, this team has put themselves in a position to succeed after barely making the playoffs the last two seasons. And while the Avs are dominating teams left and right, Colorado Avalanche prospect Alex Newhook has quietly been having a successful season of his own.
After what felt like a bit of a slow start in his rookie season with Boston College, Newhook has found his game in the NCAA, putting up 13 goals and 13 assists in 26 games. Newhook is currently 3rd on the team in goals, 4th on the team in points, is the highest scoring rookie on the team and is currently leading all Hockey East freshman in goals.
