The decision to fire Tim Army and Dave Farrish was something Colorado Avalanche fans have been waiting on this offseason. Clearly, a change in voice was necessary.
Tim Army had been with the team through both the coaches that preceded Jared Bednar, and it was time for him to go. Dave Farrish was only just completing his second full season behind the bench, but his defensive systems, and control issues were often cited as an issue for the Avs.
And, firing Francois Allaire is not really the case of a canning as the Avs just decided not to renew his contract.
