If you’ve ever wondered how Cale Makar’s slap shot compares to that of, say, Bugs Bunny, you may be in luck. Bugs and other characters from the “MultiVersus” video game will take the ice with the Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights in a special broadcast of their game on Sunday.
Officiated by the Tasmanian Devil, the MultiVersus NHL Face-Off will air at 1:30 p.m. Sunday on TruTV and on Max’s B/R Sports add-on. The event combines the NHL’s EDGE tracking technology and Hawk-Eye Innovations optical tracking to re-create animated game action in real time, according to an NHL news release.
