Last year I started a Colorado Avalanche series of 30 Under 30 players.
I got through most of the posts, but I didn’t get through the most exciting group — the prospects. That’s ok, though, because last summer it wasn’t perfectly clear that the Avs were in a full rebuild. This summer, it’s crystal clear.
Yep, there’s no questioning that the Avalanche are a team for the future, and we may be looking several years down the line. It seems pretty clear, too, that Colorado is looking to build from within its own system rather than through a series of trades and free agency acquisitions.
