That’s not exactly unusual when a team enters a rebuild like the Colorado Avalanche has. If you’re not in a win-now situation, it doesn’t make sense to have a lot of veterans on your team. We saw the Avs get rid of some of their veteran players last season (Jarome Iginla, Cody McLeod) and in the offseason (Francois Beauchemin, John Mitchell, Fedor Tyutin).
In the meantime, none of the players they’ve picked up have been 30 or over.
