Chambers: Flames and Avalanche are drawing from the same well

DALLAS — Complex chemistry — it’s hard to explain but easy to feel.

Hockey teams with great chemistry come in various forms, as Calgary coach Glenn Gulutzan said Friday after the Flames extended their winning streak to six games, and as Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said Saturday before Colorado put its five-game winning streak on the line.

Calgary and Colorado aren’t among the NHL’s most talented teams. But in today’s razor-thin parity of the league, the little things combine to make up the biggest thing, victory, and then everyone feels good about everything moving forward.
