Business goes on at the Avalanche.
The day after coach and vice president of hockey operations Patrick Roy announced his resignation, the Avalanche Friday announced it would be the host for a Rookie Showcase, three-day rookie tournament also involving the Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks. The three-day round robin matchup of the teams’ rookies and prospects will be at the Promenade in Westminster.
The team representing the Avalanche will face the Sharks on Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. and the Ducks on Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. San Jose and Anaheim will close out the tournament on Sept.
