The Avalanche confirmed Monday it has signed Finnish free-agent forward Joonas Donskoi, who has played each of his four previous years in the NHL with the San Jose Sharks
Donskoi, 27, is a needed right-shot winger; the Avs had only centers Nathan MacKinnon and J.T. Compher who shoot from the right side. Donskoi produced 14 goals for the Sharks in each of the last two years. He has 45 career goals in 243 games.
