The Avalanche on Tuesday re-signed goaltender Jonas Johansson to a one-year deal. It is a two-way contract worth $750,000 in the NHL and $300,000 in the minors, according to a league source.
The 25-year-old Swede was acquired from the Sabres in March for a sixth-round draft pick. In eight games, including seven starts, he compiled a 5-1-1 record with .913 save percentage and a 2.06 goals-against average.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder is expected to be a backup goaltender for Colorado.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
