The Avalanche and forward Tyson Jost have agreed to a one-year contract that sets the 2016 first-round draft pick up to be a restricted free agent again after next season. The deal is worth $874,125, according to CapFriendly.com.

Colorado also signed goalie Hunter Miska to a two-year extension. Miska will compete for playing time with the AHL’s Colorado Eagles.

The 22-year-old Jost had 23 points (eight goals) in 67 games for the Avalanche last season. Three of his goals came exactly a year ago — Oct. 19 — in a victory at Tampa Bay, which recently won the Stanley Cup.
