Avalanche prospect Justus Annunen breaks Finnish shutout record

Colorado Avalanche prospect Justus Annunen has broekn the record for the longest shutout streak in Liiga history. The 19-year old Kärpät goalie broke the record in the first period of Wednesday’s game when his streak pushed past 259 minutes and 28 seconds. The previous record, set by Kimmo Lecklin back in the 1997-98 season.

Annunen, was the third round pick for Colorado back in the 2018 NHL Draft. He has been incredible this season playing behind a very strong team. Going into today’s game, he was working with a 0.85 GAA and .964 save percentage in seven games.
