A Colorado Avalanche player has tested positive for COVID-19, the team announced Thursday.
The player has been in isolation and has recovered. His name was not released by the team.
The Avs were in a coronavirus “hotspot” March 7-8 in San Jose, Calif., playing the Sharks March 8 at the SAP Center — the night after the Ottawa Senators faced the Sharks. Ottawa and Colorado used the same visiting locker room.
Two Ottawa players tested positive for COVID-19 in the past two weeks.
“The health and safety of our players, staff, fans, and community remains our highest priority,” the team said in a release.
