Avalanche bring Carl Soderberg back

The Colorado Avalanche have acquired, or re-acquired, center Carl Soderberg from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for forwards Josh Dickinson and Ryder Rolston. Soderberg, 35, who is on a $1 million contract that expires at the end of the year, had 15 points in 34 games for the Hawks. He comes back to Colorado after two seasons split between Chicago and Arizona.

Originally drafted by St. Louis, Soderberg spent four seasons with the Avs, including two playoff runs. At 35, he was still playing third line minutes for the Hawks at about 15 minutes a night.
