Avalanche forwards Andre Burakovsky and J.T. Compher joined defenseman Devon Toews on the NHL’s COVID list and will not play in Thursday’s game at the Nashville Predators, Colorado coach Jared Bednar said pregame.
Nashville has seven players and four coaches on COVID protocol and, given that players in COVID still count against the salary cap, it is unclear how many players the Preds will have in Thursday’s lineup.
Bednar, who will go with just 11 forwards, said Burakovsky and Compher are asymptomatic. He previously said Toews had symptoms and would miss at least six games through Christmas.
