Andreas Martinsen signs one-year deal with Colorado Avalanche

On the morning of the NHL’s draft’s first round, the Avalanche Friday announced it had re-signed winger Andreas Martinsen to a one-year contract.

The one-way deal calls for him to make $640,000 in the upcoming season.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Norwegian had four goals and seven assists for the Avalanche in 55 games last season, his first playing in North America. He also played 10 games for Colorado’s AHL affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. He was recalled from the Rampage on Nov. 8 and then spent four days with San Antonio in late February before rejoining the Avalanche for good.
