Aaron Schneekloth is moving up the hockey ladder — and away from the Colorado Eagles.
Schneekloth was named an assistant on new Seattle Kraken head coach Jane Lambert’s NHL staff on Tuesday afternoon, ending a 19-year run with the Avalanche’s AHL affiliate that included seven seasons as a player and 12 as a member of the team’s coaching staff.
The 46-year-old served as the Eagles’ head coach for a pair of two-year stints, leading the club to back-to-back Kelly Cup titles in the ECHL in 2017 and 2018 and a pair of playoff appearances in the AHL over the past two seasons.
