Coastal Carolina plays another one-run baseball game after a pair of walk-off wins

After a pair of walk-off wins in the 10th inning Saturday and Sunday, Coastal Carolina was unable to replicate the dramatics and suffered its first defeat of the season, 6-5 to Indiana on Monday at Springs Brooks Stadium in its final game of the season-opening Brittain Resorts Baseball at the Beach tournament.

Indiana, ranked 17th in the country in the Perfect Game USA Preseason Top 25, overcame a 5-3 deficit and scored the game-winning run in the seventh inning. The Chants got a runner to third with no outs in the eighth after Cameron Pearcey doubled and Cory Wood singled on a bunt, but they left the bases loaded following a fly out and pair of foul-ball popups.
