Melky homers in third straight game

BOSTON -- Melky Cabrera has thanked Indians manager Terry Francona multiple times in recent weeks for giving him a chance to stick with the club this season. The veteran continued to show his appreciation on Tuesday night, churning out three hits through his first three at-bats at Fenway Park.

Cabrera belted a leadoff home run off Boston's Nathan Eovaldi in the sixth inning to push the Indians to a 3-0 lead, adding to the double and single that he contributed earlier in the contest. The shot to right-center field was Cabrera's sixth of the season and his third in as many games.
