José Ramírez used a familiar bat for his playoff-clinching homer

Ask any Indians fan their favorite moment of the past decade, and they are likely to say one of two things. Some will say Jason Giambi’s walk-off in the 2013 playoff race and the majority will say Rajai Davis choking up on the bat and tying Game 7 of the 2016 World Series.

Last night, José Ramírez had a moment that may rival at least Giambi’s homer when he hit a 10th inning home run that helped the Indians walk off the White Sox and clinched a spot in the playoffs. If anything, the moment will be immortalized because it will always be linked to this weird season and tragic year of 2020.
