Indians Pitching Coach Mickey Callaway To Chat with the Mets and Phillies About Manager Openings

The Indians recent success on the mound could land pitching coach Mickey Callaway a new position with another team, as Terry Francona’s pitching coach will interview Wednesday for the manager spot with the New York Mets according to the New York Post.

The pitching coach will also speak to the Philadelphia Phillies, a place where Francona was once the manager, about their coaching vacancy.

Callaway has been with the Indians since Francona was hired to be the Indians manager prior to the 2013 season. He’s been a huge part of the reason behind why the Tribe’s starting rotation and bullpen has become one of the best in all of baseball.
