Zach Plesac was cruising along in a tune-up start for Columbus, beginning with six shutout innings before he ran into trouble in the seventh. Plesac left the game with one out in the seventh inning and the bases loaded, and reliever Jon Edwards promptly unloaded the bases, allowing all three inherited runners to score plus two more.
Offensively, Daniel Johnson continues to rake, going 3-5 with a double. Yu Cheng went 2-3 with a home run, a double and two walks and Ka’ai Tom went 1-3 with a double and a walk.
