3 Cleveland Indians Players Ready To Break Out In 2015

The Cleveland Indians are loaded for bear heading into the 2015 MLB season, with a deft mix of veteran talent and key young pieces readying to push the Tribe to the next level in 2015. With that being said, here's our picks for 3 Cleveland Indians Players Ready To Break Out In 2015.

RHP Carlos Carrasco

Carrasco began to trust his filthy slider as 2014 went on, and the difference was a frightening one for AL hitters. The 28-year-old struck out 140 batters in 134 innings, while also posting a miniscule 0.99 WHIP in what amounts to 2/3 of a top-level starter's innings load. After pitching to a ridiculous 1.70 ERA after the All-Star break, it's plain to see Carrasco's got all the stuff to become one of the game's elite. This is the year he shows it to the world.

C Yan Gomes

Gomes came into his own in 2014, posting career highs in several offensive categories (21 home runs, 74 RBIs, 25 doubles) while continuing to emerge as one of the game's most reliable backstops behind the dish. The crazy part? Gomes is only 27 years old and 2014 was his first full season in the bigs. After a confidence-building campaign last season, Gomes is ticketed for true stardom in 2015.

SS Jose Ramirez

He may never hit for power, but the 22-year-old Ramirez is already a true artist when it comes to his glove work at short. That's majorly impressive, considering that he played a heck of a lot more second base than he did shortstop in the minors. This kid's going to be a Web Gem regular in 2015, stealing away plenty of 'sure' hits while he toils away at finding his swing at the plate.
