No 2014 movie would have projected a Cubs title the following year. Yet, here we are, about to watch the National League Championship Series unfold between a pair of teams starving for a ring. Well, the Cubs are quite famished. Relatively speaking, that would leave the Mets with a little room to nibble at another World Series entree.
The Cubs haven't won the Fall Classic since 1908. The Mets last won it in 1986.
