With Major League Baseball laying down the hammer on Astros manager AJ Hinch and general manager Jeff Lunhow, we now have confirmation that the Houston Astros did indeed cheat. We can also rest assured that they probably did indeed cheat in the two home games they won against the Indians in the 2018 ALDS.
In all honesty, it’s hard to know if the Astros really needed to beat on a trash can to score 21 runs against the sleepwalking 2018 Indians. Most of their damage against Corey Kluber in game one came off fastballs, and their 11-run romp in game three was in Cleveland.
