Despite Eric Stamets’ best efforts, the Columbus Clippers fell short on Wednesday. Stamets went 3-3 with a double and a walk, Brandon Barnes went 2-5 with a stolen base and Yandy Diaz went 1-3 with two sacrifice flies and two runs batted in.
Adam Plutko was decent in his return to the Clippers rotation, giving up two runs on five hits in 4.1 innings while striking out four and walking one.
Unfortunately, Dominic DeMasi gave up two more runs in his 2.
