Cal Quantrill liked having fans back in the stands and No. 47 on his back Sunday as he opened the spring-training season for the Indians with two scoreless innings at Goodyear Ballpark.
A socially distanced, coronavirus-induced sellout of 2,211 was on hand to watch the Indians beat the Reds, 5-1. The game ended after eight innings due to an agreement between the two teams based on MLB’s health and safety protocols.
