Minnesota's Ervin Santana told Edwin Encarnacion that he's 'trying to do too much' at the plate

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- If Indians cleanup hitter Edwin Encarnacion is ever going to settle in and relax at the plate, maybe some free advice from fellow Dominican Ervin Santana will be the impetus to get him there.

Santana surrendered a base hit to Yan Gomes on Friday and walks to Carlos Santana and Michael Brantley, loading the bases with two outs in the bottom of the fifth.

Encarnacion stepped to the plate and lined a 2-1 pitch to center for the third out.

As the Tribe's $20 million cleanup hitter rounded first base, the Twins starting pitcher says he dished out some free advice.
